Customer Reviews for

Had a great time in Occidental Xcaret, although very glad we upgraded to the Royal package. Weather terrific, and the ambience, and scenery round the resort was unbelievable... At the royal, they have huge cabanas like huge double beds in front of the sea - and they are easy to get hold of. Cocktails and frozen drinks beautifully made, and service impeccable... Room was great, and very spacious. Food choice was great, and we tried most of the restuarants. We had picked the spring break in canada so the resort was packed with children, but very few in the Royal part, so we had great quiet time.. Only criticism, was that the check in and check out was not very seamless... But we may just have picked the wrong time for that..... Anyway, main point is that we had a fabulous week, and excellent value.

Just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had at Innisfree. All the arrangements worked out well.
Innisfree was everything and more than we could have wished for. It was a delightful villa - the photographs do not do it justice and the staff were jewels in the crown. They could not have done more to make Innisfree a home from home. We were blessed with good weather too, only 1 day of rain.
Some building work next door began soon after we arrived, but thankfully our feelings for Innisfree did not affect our enjoyment. The agents in Barbados did everything they could to ensure we were not adversely affected and kept in close contact with us. Luckily the long bank holiday during our stay ensured we had a few quiet days. We would have no hesitation in recommending Innisfree and hope to visit again.
Thanks to you and your team for your excellent service and assistance given to us in arranging our family holiday.
Look forward to using you again in the future.

We stayed at Turtle beach over new year 2007/08 in a beachfront junior suite. The hotel itself is lovely but the rooms were definately in need of an update mainly the bathroom. Our friends stayed in a one bedroom suite which had already been refurbished which was lovely, marble sinks, plasma T.V.
The pool areas were great, plenty of sunbeds. The pool staff were the best, nothing too much trouble. The beach area in front of the hotel was quite narrow so when the hotel was full it was quite crowded. While the hotel was full the service level and quality of food was well above average but unfortunately after new year when the majority of guests left we noticed a big change in both these areas.

Summary: Overall has a pleasant holiday. In my opinion this hotel is a 3* hotel in need of a refurb which I understand was due to start sometime in 2008 (This is what the manager told us when we were there). Hotel suited to families with children.

My husband and I stayed at Turtle Nest in May 2008 & had the most fantastic holiday. The property suited the 2 of us perfectly, being right on the beach which meant I could jet ski, water ski, snorkle, swim with the turtles - an amazing experience - etc. from just a few feet of our back gate, whilst my husband relaxed in the lovely gardens or on the verandha. Our cook/housekeeper Freida was wonderful, very friendly & helpful - nothing was too much trouble. We often shopped together at the local markets and at our request she cooked us some superb Barbadan style evening meals, beautifully presented each time. We tended to alternate between Freida cooking us an evening meal and/or doing our breakfasts so that we also got out to sample some of the excellent restaurants, of which there are many. She kept the villa spotless and would also do our personal washing if asked. The only slight draw back was that the front of the property is right on the main road which can be quite busy and noisy, although with the locals of Barbados it is a very cheery and friendly noise which we soon got used to and actually enjoyed. There is a garage a very short walk away which also stocks an excellent range of food/drinks and is open 24/7 if you don't want to bother going to the supermarket which is about a 20 mins. drive. The beach is great and was not very busy. We saw the most stunning sunsets sitting on the verandha sipping our evening drinks whilst Freida was preparing our meals. We can't wait to go back !!

I have stayed in this house over the summer and it was one of the best holidays i have had. The house was tremendously luxurious and the staff superb, the facilities were fantastic. I would not hesitate to recommend it and very much look forward to my next vacation there.

Just thought I would drop you a line to let you know what a Fabulous holiday we had at the St James Club. This being our 4th visit over the last 6 years it was most certainly the best! - They have spent a lot of money there and resurfaced all the patios around the pool which looks super and updated a lot of rooms. They have made a super outside sitting area with views over the pool and sea with tea and coffee on tap 24/7. the Docksiders restaurant has now been open a year and is just a lovely place to eat.I think they must have employed a new head chef as the food has well improved and it was a delight to go for dinner. They gave us a reef room which was lovely and the patio only 5 feet from the sea! All in all we just had a lovely time.met some lovely people and we would well recommend it to anyone else.

I have stayed at Fairways twice now, the first time I came was my first visit to Tabago and we really enjoyed our stay. Our housemaid and guards made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Fairways was a very enjoyable Villa due to its handy lcation to the golf course and the beach. It was only a short drive to the shops or reasturaunts. On our second visit we got married in Tabago and had our reception out on the patio. Very enjoyable holiday and im saving up for a third visit!

Thanks to all that made it a enjoyable holiday for us xxxx

I have just returned from my first visit to St Lucia and the Bay Gardens Beach Resort. My initial anxiety proved to be unfounded. Bay Gardens has a great location - right on the beach. The room overlooked the beach / ocean with lots to see - including the pirate ship featured in the 'Pirates' series of films. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful and the food was also very good. I hope to return one day.

Very spacious, light and airy villa well equipt and in a very private location with excelent staff.
This villa met all of our expectations but I would recomend that you agree the Cooks hours to meet your families particular needs in advance.

Just thinking back to the October Half-Term when you organised us a trip to the Almond Village. I was sooo apprehensive about going to such a large resort but I need not have worried. We had a fantastic time and found our own little ‘holiday village’ by pretty much staying in the same pool area every day. Also, the distances between accommodation and activities was much shorter than anticipated and was never a problem. Admittedly, the room are smaller than in other Caribbean Resorts we stayed at and we are thankful that we did not end up in block 7, which I thought was an eyesore already when researching the place ahead of arrival.

I want to really congratulate management at the resort for having such a ‘can-do’ attitude. I don’t think I have ever been anywhere where the staff was actively searching for, and succeeding in anticipating what guests needed. Also, I though management made very clever use of the property by offering additional out-door eating experiences in the courtyard or on the beach.

All-in-all we had the most fantastic time and can’t praise the staff highly enough.

I hope that many more of your clients will have a chance to sample the Almond Beach Village.

A truly beautiful setting. Tasteful accommodation with modern comforts. Very friendly and accommodating staff and good food. A safe haven for families with very young children.
Charming in that wild donkeys and goats wander in close vicinity of one of the beaches and lots of birdlife too.

This was possibly the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. We took a 2 bed sea view villa - it was modern, clean and very comfortable when we needed to have some shade from the hot sun. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The food was fine but nothing amazing

Everything was nice, my folks and I were very satisfied with our accommodation. Spacious rooms, a beautiful view and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff was attentive and very friendly. We had a great time and can really recommend the ocean view rooms, in particular the ones which are to the edge of the premises.

Best regards and we will keep your agency in good memory.

Thank you very much for suggesting Blue Waters.

Both my husband and I had arrived feeling very tired and stressed. My husband had just had a replacement shoulder operation so was feeling very sore from surgery. We had both read the reviews of the hotel and were slightly worried at what we would find on our arrival. After a good flight over on BA we were met by the BB representative at BGI airport who checked us in with Liat and arranged for our bags to be collected and checked in. We then made our way to the gate for our flight across to the SVG.
On arrival in SVG we were met by the BB representative who directed us to the minibus for our final leg of our journey. On our transfer from the airport to the resort the driver told us a bit about the island. He was very friendly and informative.
On arrival at the resort we were met by members of the BB team with ice cold towels and cool drinks or either coconut water or rum punch. We were asked to complete the forms for check in requesting us to leave our CC details for a security deposit of $500 in case of any incidentals. Luckily we had brought them with us as it was an all-inclusive resort! Once the form filling had been completed we were escorted to our villa.
Our villa which was like a small bungalow, had a plunge pool and sun area, bathroom which had the most amazing shower in it and to finish it off nicely Molton brown products had been provided. Our bedroom was lovely with air conditioning and the bed was total luxury where comfort was assured. The lounge area did not have any air conditioning (shame as it did get very hot in there). Our plunge pool was a lovely relief to cool down and sit with a cool drink and reflect on the day.
We were lucky that there were three restaurants open when we stayed in Dec. These were the BBC, Bamboo and Saffran along with the sushi bar and HQ.
The breakfasts at Bamboo were lovely a vast choice or cereals, cooked foods, cold meats and fruit to choose from and always a smiley chef around to cook your eggs however you wanted them. Bamboo does not open for lunch apart from being able to order pizza which the staff would happily deliver to you on the beach, by the pool or to your villa again these were delicious. The evening buffets were very good, we had lobster twice which was lovely. There were perhaps a few too many Italian themed evenings for us - although Murphy did a great job with the pasta, as well as entertaining everyone with his cooking skills and wonderful laugh!
We enjoyed several lunches and dinners at the BBC my only complaint is that it is the same menu every day. They could certainly do with adding some more local dishes and perhaps having a two week rotating menu for those staying two weeks not to eat the same every night. (This was probably the only fault we could find) Andy and Helena made our evenings in the BBC they were so friendly and full of smiles they made you feel special and welcome. A big hearted thank you for helping make our experiences of BBC a very positive one

Saffran was very nice the food was delicious. Yes the menu is not vast but who needs more than a set selection of starters, main course and pudding. Starters were wonderful you are given a selection of all the starters to try (great way to try new tastes) followed by your choice of main with two side orders plus rice and then pudding again a selection of all the puddings on the menu for you to try. The staff were wonderful and could not do enough for you to ensure your experience with them was second to none.

Starting on a positive note, the staff are lovely, very friendly and really try their best to help you. The villas are very nice, grounds are well kept and resort is very clean and tidy.
HQ was great for ice cream, smoothies, coffees etc, and their banana cake was exceptional. Again the staff here are excellent with great friendly personalities.
We took two excursions which we found to be excellent, the Dark View Falls and The Sunset Cruise, which are well worth doing. Francesca came with us on the Dark View Falls as we were a little worried about going on this due to my husbands should operation she was very kind, caring and a true ambassador to BB.
We did have a small issue with some of my husband’s pain medication being taken but Debra and Cliff both dealt with this swiftly and professionally and within two hours of us reporting this they had managed to replace one of the items they also made arrangements for my husband to see the doctor to discuss any further requirements. This could happen anywhere in the world so would not say this is only related to BB resort. Thank you both for being so kind and helping sort this out so as not to spoil our well needed holiday.
Cliff was an absolute star he goes more than the extra mile for people we had been chatting to him and said we had not been outside of the resort so Cliff took us on a drive around some of the island showing us the glorious island of St Vincent and enabling us to take some fantastic photos and memories back to England.
Debra was lovely a true ambassador to BB although she had only just landed the week before us to start work, you would never guess this as she shone through with her wonderful friendly personality and professionalism a friend we hope to keep in touch with. We look forward to seeing the ideas she has to keep improving the resort (if this is possible).
To sum up we had a fantastic time and met fantastic people. We certainly came home feeling unstressed, and calm exactly what we had hoped and longed for. We would definitely recommend this resort and we hope to go back there again soon to see if anything has changed as long as they keep the personal touch.
Thank you BB for a truly wonderful holiday and one we will never forget.

We spent a fabulous week at The Almond Morgan Bay at the end of May. The resort exceeded our expectations in every way.
We stayed in the lovely new one bedroom ocean view suites which are on a hill above the resort and accessed by a number of steep steps from the beach area. They have a nearby adults only pool and Tommys bar which is generally very quiet only a few steps away from the new rooms.
The rooms are double fronted with ocean views from both the bedroom and sitting area. We could not fault the service in any of the bars and restaurants but Theresa in Tommys bar was exceptionally friendly and went out of her way to train us in the art of cocktail making. She makes the best Mojitos.
We hope to return again soon.
Thank you again Judith for another wonderful holiday.

This is a lovely hotel. We did not find the beach as good as we were expecting. Its a very relaxed hotel with friendly staff. Be aware that it is next to a small airport. Expect planes to fly over head! This didnt seem to bother us but Im sure would annoy after a while. Really liked the food and we wished we had used the reservation restaurant more. Hotel was filled with lots of load Americans but they were no hassle. The Pool was nice with the swim up bar (which we used alot) but could have been cleaner)

I was really impressed with Battaley's Mews. The townhouses are very stylishy furnished, all in white, with an airy and light feel to them.
We loved the huge master bathroom with walk in shower and large bath. The bedroom was great too with a lovely four poster bed.
Its a short walk to the beach, only about 5 mins, and a beautiful beach at that. Having said that the beach bar at Mullins isn't exactly cheap!
The staff were very friendly, really lovely in fact and the communal pool area is a nice place to be.
I would highly recommend, as a quality but very reasonably priced accommodation.

Caribbean package have always been so helpful and we book with them every time and go to Blue Waters which is a superb, not a trendy, non-glass and minimalist hotel, about to celebrate 50 years, in a very private setting- no one else except guests on the beach as it is located in a bay with no access except by sea. The food in the three restaurants, is good, the staff are very helpful and courteous, the gardens are lovely with variety of palm trees, bougainvillea and hibiscus. The rooms in the traditional part are most satisfactory, many with superb views of the sea and the gardens. Internet is free now too! A real get away - and no teenagers and very few children in September.

We stayed at the Almond Village in November 2009. Cannot praise Judith and Anne enough for all their help. From the first phone call they were outstanding.
The Almond Village was fantastic. Cannot fault the food or drink come to that! The place itself looked a bit tired, but you soon got over that with great staff and facilities.
The best thing about the Almond group is that you can get the courtesy bus to the two other hotels on the island, where all facilities are also included.
First time at an all inclusive but certainly not the last!
Thank you.

Just to let you know we had a really lovely week at the Almond Beach Village. The weather was gorgeous, flights all on time and we feel very rested and recuperated.

Although we have visited the Hotel many times before, we just wanted to thank you for your organising our trip so professionally. Your replies to our queries were always prompt and the transfers you arranged were excellent - good, friendly drivers and air conditioned comfortable cars - well worth the extra cost.

We will not hesitate to use you again and will recommend you to our friends and family.

Morgan Bay resort, quality of food, staff, water sports all better than Almond Beach, highly recommended. Rooms getting a bit tired around edges

Posted By: G. Anderson on 24.3.10

A most attractive resort, very comfortable and well thought out. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful - genuinely seemed to be trying to please. Self-catering a fair option; we had all breakfasts and most lunches in our villa which was convenient and not too expensive. Agree with first review that the mosquitos were an unexpected and unpleasant surprise - mosquito nets are essential! But that (and the 1 hr 30 transit from the airport) was the only downside I can think of in an otherwise beautiful resort on a stunning island.

Posted By: John Nugee on 16.4.10

The complex is stunning and the villa was lovely! We could see why people do timeshare. The staff were nice, and it was a perfectly run hotel! And what was nice, they had the right mix of people that came to the resort!! So glad we went all inclusive, as we would have found food very pricey!
Down side was the mossies, most people got bitten. This could have been due to the recent drought.

We had a great hols to the Windjammer and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, facilites and the Hibiscus room was fantastic complete with hot tub on the balcony which the boys loved. We did however have 5 days of rain when we arrived after no rain since December so that was unfortunate but hey C'est la vie.

We do hope to return to the hotel as we enjoyed it so much in the next 12 months.

We have just returned from a week at the Verandah and were extremley impressed! We found the resort to have a luxurious and up-market feel to it, but at the same time being welcoming and well-equipped for our children. The accommodation was perfect ; very comfortable, clean and stylish, with great attention to detail in the kitchen area with all the things you could need. The pool and beach were great, and the restaurants very pleasing. The buffet had a great selection at all times (especially breakfast!) and Buchaneers A La Carte restaurant offered beautiful meals with a slightly more special feel. We didn't visit Nicoles as we felt no need to, enough choice elsewhere and the surcharge a little unnecessary. Staff were friendly and usually any requests were met quicky and politely. Overall, we had no complaints and would highly recommend it. Only a few things to mention...a shame there was no 'baby pool' area incorporated into the big pool (ie it was deep all around), no cocktail list at the bar (so you had to really know your cocktails if you fancied one!), and where possible it might be better for them to offer rooms with a ramp/bridge to families with children/strollers...rather than the 6 steps we had up to our room! We managed ok though!

We have stayed in many villas but this is - by far - the best villa we have stayed in. The location is fantastic (you don't even need a car because the taxi rank for the local 'compound' resort next door is just around the corner). The villa is private, has the most spectacular views and is well kept.
Oh - and this villa does have WiFi!

Would recommend the Occidental Grand Xcaret had a great time did 7 nights fully inclusive lots of different restaurants, bars and pools, a different place to go to every day, lots of various animals running about which was amazing very clean and the rooms were also of very good standard. Had the week just over easter and the weather was fantastic, only criticism is no free wi fi (you can pay for it of course) and just be careful make sure you book your transport to and from the Airport in advance to book when you arrive at the airport is very expensive as we found out! Would definitely return!

We had a great holiday at Coconut Bay. The staff were very helpful and friendly with an overall relaxing, laidback feel (in a good way not a bad way!). My husband felt the rooms were a little tired and maybe I would agree slightly but l was happy with them. Food was good generally with plenty of choice. The speciality restaurants, Italian and Chinese, were fantastic, service and quality of food exceptional. Swimming pools, lazy river, swim up bar and water park were everything that we needed. My girls are 5 & 7 and they had a fab time, met loads of friends and played happily day in, day out. They went to the kids club, which was very good, a couple of times. It laid on lots of good craft type activities as well as the usual water and beach play. In all, we had a super holiday and felt that we got value for money. I would definitely consider another holiday there.

Thank you very much for your help in the efficient booking of our holiday. Your staff were helpful, informative and friendly.

We absolutely loved the Windjammer Landing. The food was also excellent. Our suite was a great choice, as was the all inclusive. Our particular suite had a washer/dryer and we were lucky that ours was in the main suite building close to the front desk so we could walk most everywhere without having to use the shuttle. The property itself was very well kept, the staff was very helpful and almost always called us by name. We would not hesitate to go back again, in fact hope that next May around the same time we can go through you again for more reservations. Thanks so much for all your help.

Just wanted to let you know we had a fantastic time in Barbados from the minute we were met my Juliette at the airport to when she saw us off. We can not rate her highly enough- it was lovely to know she was at the other end of a phone if we needed her. Seventh Heaven was beautiful, it was clean, tasteful and catered to our every need. It completely met our expectations.

The staff and Sherry the cook were brilliant and she took us shopping at an equivalent to Costco to save money which was fabulous.

We would like to take this opportunity in thanking you Judith for all your help in sourcing the villa and always being ready to answer questions when we had them. I hope that you have an equally enjoyable time when you get to go very soon. Will certainly be recommending you to friends.

So hard to settle back into doing your own washing and cooking! Thanks again.

The property is lovely - we liked the fact that it is built into the hillside as you have a sense of detachment, rather than being on top of everyone/ everything else. Only downside is the hill walking, or waiting for the shuttle, but definitely worth it. Lovely views etc, and a good beach. Doesn't have the sparkling clear blue sea you might expect from a caribbean resort, but not a big deal. Beach big enough to find a quiet spot away from the central hive of activity should you choose. We were there when they were full, and although the beach was busy, i didn't think it was overcrowded, and you were still able to find a sun lounger. Watersports facilities excellent too, including waterskiing. The guys who ran the watersports were fantastic, endlessly patient and helpful.

The rooms are good too - we had a premium anthuriam lily. Lovely sun terrace, good size room which was clean and sufficiently furnished (we asked for a second chair!), and a good bathroom. I understand that the normal ones are a bit smaller, and have a smaller bathroom. Lovely views, and very comfortable.

The food was excellent. We liked the fact that it wasn't all buffets - in fact, there was only a dinner buffet available twice a week. So each night was a la carte effectively, and the quality of the food at all the restaurants was excellent. We even had takeaway pizza one night from their italian restaurant and ate it on our sun terrace which was a nice thing to be able to do.

The staff were outstanding - amongst the best i've come across in the caribbean. You are allocated an ambassador of sorts - effectively someone from the concierge desk who is your point of contact for anything ranging from issues to getting things organised. Our lady, Donizette, could not have been more friendly or helpful, and the couple of minor issues we had (lights not working etc) were sorted out promptly, and without fuss. All the staff were very friendly - it seemed to me that they were all happy to be working there, proud even, which makes a huge difference to the level of service.

Overall, we were delighted with our stay there. Whilst i still think that the Grand pineapple is lovely, this is in some ways a notch above (food and accomodation). I definitely felt we got value out of the extra money; if anything, i think grand pineapple is such good value for money and a well kept secret! We are already discussing going back in August!

Thank you very much for sorting everything out for us so efficiently (as usual), and we may well be speaking soon!

We had a fabulous holiday, everything was perfect, our accommodation was in the adult section of the resort and suited us fine. Juliet, who met us on arrival, is the most delightful and helpful person and kept in touch with us throughout the holiday. We certainly have no complaints and thank you all for your very kind help and attention to us when making our booking. We hope to be back in touch in the not too distant future

The Almond Village was great. Food was mostly good, staff excellent. The room was fine, a little tired and could do with updating but had everything needed and the housekeeping service was excellant. We were grateful to Robin (I think that was who I booked with) who suggested a room by the adult pool, this was the best location and very near to the pool bar!!

Thank you for sorting out our booking, which was very short notice, but you managed to confirm all the details with speed and efficiency. We will certainly use your services again, just need to save up first!!

We holidayed here May/June 2011 and the resort is fast becoming fantastic. We stayed in the oceanfront villa with a plunge pool, with a beautiful view out to sea. The food was very very good in the fine dining restaurant in the evening. At lunchtime we used the beach bar grill for skewered prawns, jerk chicken and fresh fruit salads. The dolphin cruise each evening is a wonderful way to finish the day with 2 hours of calm sailing and rum punch. Service overall here was amazingly attentive. We were relatively unaffected by the expansion of the resort and its ongoing building work. The performing arts academy a unique and brilliant opportunity for musical children and adults alike. We were very impressed with the kids club, a variety of activities from caring, loving staff. We (all 6 of us) agree this is the best family holiday we have ever had.

Great place for families, be aware there is only a shower in the bathroom. Staff great very very frindly. There is also a dress code for some of the restaurants. The restaurants for adults only have 2 early sitting 6 and 6:30 pm for families. Rooms good size kids club great food good. Management very receptive

We have just come back from our vacation in Grenada and I would like to inform you that the hotel was fabulous! We had a lovely holiday!

We had a wonderful time at Sugar Ridge, it was fairly quite at this time of year, but that was probably a bonus in the restaurants and on the beach. The weather was perfect with just the occasional shower. The shuttle service to the 3 beaches was fun and gave the guests an extra opportunity to meet one another. All 3 beaches were great with their own Beach bar/restaurant and the shuttle driver always provided sunbeds for us. The hotel's own pools were also excellent.

The room was perfect although A/C unit rather noisy at night. We had a good view with several steps down to reception area and Gym which we managed to visit most days. this is one of the best Gyms we have seen with plenty of brand new equipment.

A great location for us, clean and modern and all the staff without exception were excellent and extremely helpful and friendly.

The Sugar Club Restaurant had good menu and service, we had a large breakfast there every day and several evening meals.(Excellent Steak)
Carmichaels Restaurant at the top of the hill was a real treat with fine food and teriffic views - definitely recommended! The staff were only too willing to give us a lift there and back in the Golf Buggy as it's quite steep!

We would definitely recommend the Sugar Ridge and believe it was worth paying a small premium to stay there.
Thanks to you all for making it an easy booking.

Just had to let you know that we choose this villa for a 16-night stay in Barbados. It was excellent! Comfortable with lovely staff - Sandra is a great cook, and the maids were sweet and helpful. It is a very short walk to Gibbes Beach. The pool is a good size, suitable for a proper swim.
Can't recommend it enough for a family holiday. Your own private hotel!

Posted By: J. Alterman. June 2011 on 5.7.11

I always liked this hotel and wanted to try it again after experiencing some problems in the past. I am delighted to report that the hotel has sorted out the staffing issues - everyone we met this time was absolutely charming and very helpful. The food was excellent and competitively priced with restaurants on the island. All the room categories are very well furnished. The pool/gardenview room is large enough to take 2 adults and a child under 8 years now!

Posted By: J. Alterman. June 2011 on 5.7.11

Absolutely fantastic hotel, I really couldn't fault it. I thought the beach was magnificent, a lovely long stretch of white sand (about two miles), and a perfectly clear sea to swim in. The food was amazing and interesting and the rooms were fab. Our Luxury Beachfront room had one of the largest and most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! We also really liked the guitarist in the Trysting restaurant. I could go on..... 5/5

Posted By: Robin on 15.7.11

Great hotel, I would give it four and a half stars if I could. The staff here are the best I've encountered in the Caribbean, very friendly and efficient. The one bed villa we stayed in is was stylish and private, perfect for a honeymoon. We particularly liked the Jammers Bar and the view from the Hibiscus pool. We would definitely like to go back!

Posted By: Robin on 15.7.11

We thoroughly enjoyed the Almond Beach Village. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very good, particularly in the Italian restaurant. There is plenty to do and we particularly enjoyed the Hobie Cats and snorkelling. Unlike down South the sea is calm enough to swim and do watersports, which made up for the beach not being quite as good as down South. Plenty for kids to do here however the three adults pool provide a nice getaway! Great holiday for not very much money!

I am just back from La Source in Grenada.
Everything was perfect , the food was very very good, the service and staff welcoming and smiling.
The Spa treatments were professionnal.
We were a family of 4 and our teenagers loved the activities
I have started telling all my friends about it.

I also liked Grenada a lot for there are many things to do and see. Much more than in BGI or ANU.
You can relax on the beach AND visit many interesting places, trek in the mountains, dive etc.
We went in July and had great weather. Plus good fare offers and no tourist : the paradise !
You can recommend this island and La Source to your customers.

One word ..... wow!!!!! We stayed in July 2011 in an oceanfront villa with plunge pool and returned to the UK on 23.07.2011. The food in the BBC was excellent and the beach BBQ offered a good variety. The sushi bar opened wilst we were in resort and again provided excellent choice and quality. The best thing about the resort was the people. The staff were kind, attentive and caring - they made the vacation one of the best we've ever had. When asked who had offered the best customer service on departure, we really couldn't choose!! All the staff from the Management Team down were excellent and a credit to the resort. The sunset cruise was a bonus and we saw dolphins with calves on every trip except one! Although the resort wasn't complete and not all the restaurants open, we can't wait to go back to sample these some time next year. Will be 5-star once completed. Missing it already .....

Fabulous holiday thanks – no complaints! We were very lucky to get a 3 bedroom apartment which meant we had loads of room. The villas was very comfortable and not too far up the hill so we could easily walk up and down to the beach and pools. Staff very friendly and helpful and the restaurants had the right mix of different types of food. We went on 2 or 3 trips which were all excellent. Only problem I had was being bitten on the legs by mosquitos but this certainly didn’t spoil my holiday! Thanks for your selection of holiday destination – it worked well for us!

I will have no hesitation recommending your company to any friends who might be planning a trip to the Caribbean!

It's been some months we visited Barbados and the Coconut Groove. I still want to share our experiences with you.

The house and Island were really great! We had some bad luck with daily rainshowers, but there was enough sunshine and beach life, but overall it was super and we loved it.

Thanks for all your efforts and help, we appreciated it very much!!

Just a short message to say our recent trip to the Turtle Beach in Barbados was lovely. I can definitely recommend this hotel, this was our second visit to the property and exceeded our expectations again. Nicely renovated rooms, excellent food and friendly staff.

Im sure we will be in touch with you sometime in the future regarding our next trip.

The holiday was excellent, as was the Villa, perfect in every way and couldn't have asked for more. The housekeeper took great care of us.
The location of the villa is perfect, just up the road from the main clubhouse and the larger communal pool n spa, 2 min walk to both.
Seriously looking to have it again next year......saving up for the deposit!

Just to let you know that we had a lovely holiday at the Verandah Hotel in Antigua, the hotel was really good, very clean and with very friendly staff and on the whole the food was excellent with plenty of choice, in fact too much! We would return to this hotel and be happy to recommend it to our friends.

Have returned to this property numerous times. Romantic, beautiful, quaint, with fabulous food and staff always smiling, warm and friendly. Rooms very large and traditional old Jamaica charm, clean beyond belief! Located in ocho rios, the very tropical, hilly part of the island, beauty beyond belief! Although many steps a d hilly, one call to front desk a d a van takes you anywhere on property. Suggested for couples who want quiet, peaceful holiday.

Posted By: Diane on 3.10.11

Would give it four and a half stars if we could!

A lovely holiday at Sugar Ridge.
Maybe not a traditional AI resort as it does not have its own beach. No real problem as they do a shuttle service to three which would be great for variety although only one was available during our visit (low season). You also need a bit of planning for the 2 resort restaurants/bars as they are a bit of a distance, in a vertically speaking fashion that is. The food was excellent but an occasional change in menu would not have gone amiss.
The room was very comfortable, finished to a high standard with a wonderfully large balcony and the gym is absolutely superb.
Best of all, and where Sugar Ridge really needs to be commended, is for the quality and attentiveness of their staff. This was our 10th trip to Antigua and would say that the people at Sugar Ridge are probably about the best we have known on the island. Open and friendly, they did seem to genuinely care about the service that they provide.
We definitely recommend Sugar Ridge and would have no hesitation about a return in the future.

We had a lovely, very relaxing holiday, Sugar Ridge is a lovely hotel. The food is very good especially the Carmichaels Restaurant with terrific views, the steak and fish nights were fantastic. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. It was great getting driven to the beaches which was only 10 minutes from the hotel. The room was very one of the best we have stayed in, lovely plunge pool on balcony. Good location, being just 5 minutes walk down to Jolly Harbour. There are quite a few steps around the resort but there are golf buggies which can be called upon. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

This was my second trip to Royal Westmoreland. It is a truly superb resort offering high quality villa accommodation in an upmarket setting. Forest Hill 15 was excellent - spacious, well furnished and in a superb, setting overlooking the Forest Hills pool, with the Caribbean in the background. The resort is quiet, relaxing and the pool is never crowded. Forest Hills 15 comes with its own housekeeper who was friendly, unobtrusive and very efficient. Royal Westmoreland have an arrangement with Mullins Beach nearby where you get access to comfortable sun-loungers and great service from the staff at Mullins restaurant and bar. There is a regular shuttle or a dedicated car park for guests. There is also a great Spa facility for those who want to indulge. Holetown is just 5 minutes drive away and has a great selection of bars, shops and restaurants. All in all, I would thoroughly recommend Royal Westmoreland and Forest Hill 15 in particular. Caribbean Unpackaged were excellent to deal with - professional and highly knowledgable about Barbados and the resort in particular. I would have no hesitation in returning and plan to do so in 2012!

The house was of a very high standard ( kids loved the plunge pool!) and excellant value for money. If you dont want to be organised by others and happy to hire a car and explore Barbados and its culture your own way then this is the villa and base for you and your family. Glitter Bay is a great setting, the short walk to the beach, the children's paddling pool and play area, the wide sandy beach, mature beautiful grounds, and the fact that it was off peak meant we had lots of space to ourselves. The apartment was well furnished, the kitchen well-stocked with cutlery, crockery, dishwasher and all mod-cons, and the cleaner service efficient. The washing machine and dryer were an unexpected bonus.

We'd recommend Glitter Bay highly.

We had an absolutely fabulous stay in Grenada. There were some friendly, similar minded and really nice guests from London staying in the hotel and everyone got on really well together. The Blue Horizons is a great place to relax, the kids loved it and I enjoyed the absence of continual music by the pool. I misunderstood your website about use of the facilities at the five star resort. We were most definitely not allowed to use the other pool. We were allowed to use the washrooms and there were some sunbeds near the restaurant on the beach. This was never a problem. The only issue I had was the restaurant it was incredibly slow at times. breakfast was extremely good. Dinner was a good quality well presented but a little under spiced. I wouldn't wanted have had more than four nights half board. The people in the hotel are incredibly friendly. Overall, we would definitely go back. Thanks for the recommend.

Lovely hotel on a great expanse of beach, Staff could not be better, and the No Tipping rule made life a lot easier. We stayed in a Luxury Beach front Bungalow at the quiet end of the resort, just what we wanted, most people did not bother to walk down to this part of the beach, Always food available and the Trysting Restaurant especially good (need to book)

Posted By: Robert Bolt on 11.2.12

First, we very much appreciated your comments at the time of booking. You helped us choose the right accommodation for us (luxury beach front) and, having looked around other rooms during our stay, we were happy with our choice. We loved the room and, especially, the light and airy bathroom. The position was perfect for access to the beach and we could get to the dining facilities mostly under cover! However we were disappointed with the small balcony. Because it rained every day except one we were rarely able to appreciate the large, comfy cushioned seat or hammock. There was no shelter from the rain and, unless we had remembered to cover everything with beach towels (of which there was no shortage), all was damp on our return. we were pleased with the range of Rendezvous activities which we sampled. The events staff worked very hard to keep everyone happy. The water sports people were helpful and patient. Pilates, Yoga, walks, gym - was outstanding. Thank you again for your help. We would definitely come back to you.

Staff very friendly and always going out of their way to help. The food was outstanding. Unfortunately, we only had two nights would have liked to have stayed for a month. Although the sea is rougher hear than further North our children(9&12) thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait to return.

In answer to your query re St. James's Club Antigua see below:
The premises, gardens and beaches were immaculate. No rubbish or untidiness anywhere. The Coco beach was cleaned of sea weed every day, there was a lot coming ashore!
The staff were excellent, polite, friendly and helpful.
The food and service were in general good, especially in the Rainbow Garden restaurant. We found the buffett food in the Docksider not so good frequently being cold.
The bars were very good, nice to see premium brands being offered. The Almond Beach Club did not offer premium brands last time we were there last January.
Pools were nice, bit chilly as they were unheated, but clean and attractive. All the toilets on the site were immaculate.
Transfers went very well.
Room was large well furnished and comfortable with pleasant balcony.
All in all a good experience comparing very favourably with the ABC in Barbados. I am sure that we will return.
Thank you once again for your recommendation and the excellent service that we have become used to from your company!

I would say that the Verandah is a very good resort compared with others we have used in the Caribbean . The rooms were very good and the location we had ( Waterfront Room ) was excellent . Although , as an aside , I would in future probably go for one of the Waterview rooms as some these had excellent views as well so probably not worth paying the extra room rate . To be honest the resort was not full so difficult to know how it would be with regard to service and availability of Sunbeds . That being said the attitude of the staff , food/drinks and overall service was excellent . The main Bar area was an excellent spot for entertainment and with free Wi-If around the pool it allowed for good communication home if required . The main beach , given the protection of the reef at end of the cove , was probably one of the most safe I have experienced . It was not too deep and really sandy and flat out to a quite some distance . ( unusual for the Caribbean in my experience ). The transfers you arranged were on time and absolutely fine so no complaints there at all .
I would say , as a testament , that we would consider this resort again over Galley Bay ( where we have stayed before ) . Galley Bay is probably more intimate but the Verandah compared very well for us and what we were looking for .Thanks very much and we will definitely be looking to use you again when we are looking at this region .

We spent a fabulous 10 days at Ocean Two at the beginning of March 2012. Both the accommodation and staff at this new resort exceeded our expectations. We had a one bedroom oceanview apartment for three adults on a bed and breakfast basis. The apartment had all the facilities you could possibly need and more. It included a washer plus dryer, combination oven, full sized hob, american sized fridge with ice maker and even a seperate wine cooler. The bathroom was huge with double vanity unit and a shower big enough for a party! The beds both in the room and by the pool are extremely comfortable. Our apartment was the sea facing part of a two bedroom unit with the second bedroom being used as a hotel room. We looked around the room when it was being prepared for new guests and felt that it was small compared to other 'hotel' rooms with a small ensuite and only a side street view.
The restaurant meals and drinks were reasonably priced and the food was of a high standard. During our stay the breakfast and lunch service was changed to a buffet system which was an improvement as the first few days we had to wait a long time for service. We also had three delicious evening meals during our stay.
The pool and beach area are serviced by some great staff who will always find you a sunbed and parasol, no need to get up early with the beach towel. There is a flag service for drinks on the beach. On the rook there is an adult only very stylish plunge pool area with great views.
Although the resort is fantastic it is the management and staff that make this resort exceptional, We highly recommend a stay here.

Thank you Robin for recommending this hotel, we loved it. it is by far the best 'All inclusive' we have done. We had a Garden room which was very comfortable (the mattress was amazingly comfortable.) We looked at the beach front bungalow during our stay and decided when we go back we would stay in one of these. The hotel is very clean, bright and spacious. The gardens, pools and beaches were also of a very high standard. The thing that struck us most was the proffesional but very friendly staff, they were all so helpful. They were brilliant! The activities team were there to assist with sports activities but were not pushy or obtrusive. The food in both restaurants was varied and of good quality at all meal times. A brilliant professional run hotel but with a friendly family atmosphere.

This is just to let you know that our holiday to Ocean Two in Barbados went very well. It is a lovely hotel in a great spot.

The flowers for my wife on our Anniversary were lovely and we also got a card and a bottle of wine. I then got another card and a bottle of wine on my birthday a few days later. I had only mentioned in passing to one of the reception staff that it was my birthday for the day we asked them to book us a catamaran cruise. Really helpful and friendly staff everywhere.
We hope to go back soon and just hope it doesn't get so popular that they stop offering you good rates!!
Thanks again for your help.

The staff couldn't do enough to please you. The accommodation was of a very high standard. The food was of excellent quality with menu’s and restaurants to suit every taste.
The location was utterly amazing. All in all a wonderful place to be. 5 stars +

We heard that Beach View Apartments were good from friends who had been there but it surpassed all our expectations. The apartments are kept in top condition and all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We don't usually single people out for a special mention but on this occasion we have to mention the exceptionally friendly security staff and Atticus and his staff who run the breakfast and lunch bar on the site.

If you want a location where you can relax but be close enough to enjoy the local nightlife, beaches and restaurants then this is it.

Some people say the traffic noise from the coast road that runs past the property is a nuisance. From our point of view after the first day sat beside the pool we didn't notice it was there.

We'd like to say a big thank you to everyone at Beach View Apartments for making our stay so enjoyable and we couldn't have picked a better place for our first visit to your beautiful island. We really hope it won't be our last.

We just got back yesterday after a very relaxing 9 days at Sugar Ridge in Antigua. The staff there are wonderful - I've never spontaneously hugged the hotel restaurant staff as we did after our last meals in both restaurants! Gorgeous people!

It is a lovely place - only a few things to mention: Anyone with any mobility problems at all would have problems there. Whilst they have buggies to run you around to your rooms, there seems to be no disabled access to the restaurant, bar, pool or even the reception which has a step up into it from all entrances. Secondly, the buildings are mostly white concrete. And it's not a resort for children.

Carmichael's Restaurant up top is the most fantastic place to be for sunsets and an early dinner as it gets darker and darker. Super! (Also no disabled access!)
The upper rooms are definitely the better bet - the little pools on the ground floor rooms are poky little things and as one fellow guest said, no better than a foot bath (they were in a lower room with a pool). Great views too from the upper rooms. We spent ages reading and relaxing on the huge room terrace. Ask for one up the hill, away from the road.

The all inclusive package is excellent value. It even includes the mini bar! The house wines were all really good. And a great arrangement with the beach restaurants too.

One thing to mention is Bo Tours. When we arrived they didn't have any record of our transfers so am not sure where that communication broke down.
However, we were impressed with their professionalism - though they were not expecting us, they hardly missed a beat, made no fuss at all (because I had the voucher), popped us in a taxi without any delay and the lovely and very efficient Kim came to see us the next day to brief us (without any hard sell)!
Return transfers all arranged and we were even greeted by name by another Bo Tours rep when we arrived at the airport yesterday!

We have just returned from our break in St Lucia and I would like to thank you for your assistance with the booking at Morgan Bay.

We had a fantastic time, the resort was beautiful and we could not have asked for anything more. We had 2 gorgeous interconnecting rooms which were spacious and very clean with a side on sea view.
We took the boat trip with the local beach guy (who has been based on their beach for 16 years) called Joys Tours and it included a trip to the sulphur springs, waterfall and mudbath, Beach BBQ and topped off with snorkelling (where we saw some beautiful sealife)

I would thoroughly recommend Morgan Bay to family and friends and of course it goes without saying that I will recommend Caribbean Unpackaged.
Thank you once again and you can be assured you will be hearing from me in the future.

We have recently returned for a super holiday at the Tamarind, where the Manager Kim and her staff were extremely pleasant and very attentive and the food was certainly over and above our expectations, extremely good and varied. We had a pool/garden view room which was spacious, well equiped and very clean, as was the whole Hotel. The Tamarind is ideally situated for restaurants and shopping, in Holetown, and of course has a splendid beach. We would certainly have no hesitation in recommending Tamarind.

To all at Caribbean Unpackaged - thank you so much for your assistance with booking the Morgan Bay Beach Resort. We had a fantastic holiday and cannot wait to go back! We had a great room with a wonderful ocean view and the transfers to and from the airport were were great. Thank you for your expertise and advice!

Once again another winner from the guys at CU! From the moment you arrive, on the private drive up to the entrance to The House, your vacation has started. We were met and welcomed with a rum punch and from then until we left the staff made our holiday one to remember. The attention to detail from all the Ambassadors, led by the lovely manager Joanna were a credit to the Elegant Hotels group. The jet-lag massage was a-maze-ing and the daily champagne breakfast was a real treat. Plenty of food on offer from Daphne's (on-site) to the local roti hut (worth a visit). There was some refurbishment going on (due to be completed by October 2012) but the staff were attentive to any disruption and it wasn't a problem. When the hotel is completely finished it will be first class. One of the only places we've been which we would definately return to. Juliet, the Caribbean Unpackaged representative on Barbados met us at the airport and offered advice and excursions and booked restaurants on our behalf. She was was a friendly face and a real asset to first time travellers to the island. The staff were really lovely and a special mention to Agnes, Andrew, Christopher and Antonio and the lovely Joanna who made our trip a really special one. The Bajan saying goes '..... you have to leave the island ..... so you can return .....' can't wait to return. Thanks again. Andrew & Jane Day - July 2012

My husband and I spent 2 weeks here in January this year and had a wonderful relaxing holiday. The accommodation was light and airy with good sized rooms (especially the en suite bathroom!). The plunge pool in the garden was wonderful and we found no need to go the communal pool. It was great being able to walk down to Mullins Bay, only 5 minutes away and also to the shop at the garage on the main road which was very handy for topping up with fresh bread or drinks. In spite of being the high season, the Mews was quiet and all staff very friendly. We like to do our own thing, but Judith's representative on the island, Juliet, was very helpful and would have arranged excursions if we had wanted. I would happily recommend this villa and want to thank Judith and her team for taking the time to find us the right place for a memorable holiday.

We were 6 adults that rented this house in Mahogany Bay (near Holetown) with Caribbean Unpackage and I must say that both the house and all their help during the process of finding the house we wished for was superb! The house took our breath away and was really as beautiful as on the photos.. We loved spending our days so near the ocean and it all just turned out to be really good! Thank your for all the service!

We have just spent six nights at the windjammer resort in a premium ocean view room. Only the bedroom was fully enclosed and air-conditioned but that was absolutely fine (didn't see many bugs at all but i guess we were probably just lucky with the time of the year). The place had a very spacious roof terrace with sun loungers, a seating area and stunning views over the ocean. The room was situated far enough away from the central area to be quiet and close enough to be able to walk there and back (we only used the shuttle busses when we arrived). We also had two fairly quiet pools and a hot tub on our doorstep. We went for the all inclusive deal which seemed very much worth it as things do add up pretty quickly and we had diner in one of the a la carte restaurants every single day (book a day in advance as they are often fully booked). The food was fabulous on every single occasion and definitely of a much higher standard then your average all inclusive buffet food (even lobster and champagne were included). The beach area is probably a bit limiting if you want to find peace and quiet and the sea appears to be full of sea urchins but it suited us (there's enough space to walk around your own sun loungers and you can still go for a nice swim). On the bright side... a refreshing drink or a quick bite are never very far away. The water sports centre gives you lots of options to be active if you wish (although the staff don't seem too bothered) and there's a little dive shop next to it (not part of the resort actually and again the staff aren't too bothered, but they're fine for gear rental and getting you to the dive sites by boat). If you want to go sailing than this is the wrong side of the island wind wise. We also did some tennis lessons with a pro. Wifi is available in the central areas and they're currently rolling it out throughout the entire resort for those that can't do without the internet. Besides the staff at the water sports centre as mentioned before, all the staff at the resort were exceptionally friendly and did they're utmost best to please everybody! We'd definitely consider it again.
