Many of the suites have a panoramic sea view. All suites have their own patio or balcony, air-conditioning, bath tub and shower, hairdryer, satellite TV, clock radio, mini-fridge (not stocked), personal safe and ceiling fans.
The hotel has 6 acres of lush tropical gardens and the white sandy beach is where sea-turtles come to nest. Complimentary non-motorised watersports are available from the beach, including windsurfing, boogie boarding, kayaking and Hobie Cat sailing. There are 2 floodlit tennis courts and an air-conditioned fitness centre, where aerobics is on offer.
There is aquacize in 1 of the 2 natural form freshwater swimming pools, along with a splash pool for the children and a Jacuzzi.
Children between the ages of 3 and 11 may enjoy the professionally-run Tommy Turtle Kids Club, open daily and run by fully trained professional staff. It offers a wide range of fun-filled activities from beach games to arts and craft. Babysitting services are also available at a nominal fee.
There are 3 restaurants, each with its own bar. The Chelonia is an open air restaurant serving international cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Waterfront Cafe offers light snacks for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Asiagos is an authentic Italian restaurant open for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday (children 12 years and over only). On most evenings the resort provides live entertainment.

We stayed at Turtle beach over new year 2007/08 in a beachfront junior suite. The hotel itself is lovely but the rooms were definately in need of an update mainly the bathroom. Our friends stayed in a one bedroom suite which had already been refurbished which was lovely, marble sinks, plasma T.V.
The pool areas were great, plenty of sunbeds. The pool staff were the best,nothing too much trouble. The beach area in front of the hotel was quite narrow so when the hotel was full it was quite crowded. While the hotel was full the service level and quality of food was well above average but unfortunately after new year when the majority of guests left we noticed a big change in both these areas.
Summary: Overall has a pleasant holiday. In my opinion this hotel is a 3* hotel in need of a refurb which I understand was due to start sometime in 2008 (This is what the manager told us when we were there). Hotel suited to families with children.
Just a short message to say our recent trip to the Turtle Beach in Barbados was lovely. I can definitely recommend this hotel, this was our second visit to the property and exceeded our expectations again. Nicely renovated rooms, excellent food and friendly staff.
