Cutting gently into a hillside rich with lush vegetation and tropical blossoms, Discovery at Marigot Bay Hotel on St. Lucia's sheltered west coast blends into its beautiful surroundings. The Discovery resort, a member of leading small hotels of the world, provides a luxurious environment for guests with every possible modern facility, including the Lapli Spa (featuring E'Spa products) fitness centre, shopping, bars and restaurants for the ultimate holiday experience. 

The 56 suites and 66 rooms (30 with private jacuzzis) can be 1, 2 or 3 bedroom units. All 35 bedrooms have air-conditioning and ceiling fans, hardwood floors, large balconies, cable TV, music systems, telephone, hard-wired and WiFi internet access (complimentary), ironing board, and hairdryer. Large luxury bathrooms incorporate walk-in drench showers (some room categories have bathtubs), bidets, telephones and dual basins set in slate vanities. Kitchens in the suites are fitted with the latest European designer appliances. Non-smoking rooms on request. Bedrooms have 1 king or 2 twin beds (on request), and many rooms have four-poster beds.  NOTE: rooms with Jacuzzis and bathtubs are on request only and are subject to availability on arrival.

Most of the Resort View and Bay View Rooms have king beds, but 11 regular rooms have twin beds.  All the Resort View and Bay View Suites have king beds, except for 1 twin-bedded Bay View Suite.  Some Suites have an outside Jacuzzi.

All the Penthouse Suites have:  A powder room on lower floor with living, kitchen and dining area; Inside staircase leading to the "loft" bedroom with vaulted ceilings and a king four poster bed, bathroom and terrace on the top floor; a master bathroom with both walk-in shower and bathtub; an outside Jacuzzi on the terrace; views of the Bay from the bedroom (the additional second and third bedrooms are all Resort View).

Try French colonial style fine dining in The Boudreau Restaurant (a little more relaxed for breakfast and lunch).  Enjoy the fabulous view of the bay from the famous Hurricane Hole Bar that serves lunch and light snacks throughout the afternoon.  The Pink Snail Bar is themed around the original Dr Doolittle Movie which was filmed right here forty years ago.  The Baguette Shop is an ice cream parlour and French patisserie in the pretty, beautifully landscaped Marina Village courtyard.

Discovery regularly features live music from reggae to jazz and traditional Creole folk music in one of the hotel bars.  A number of lively local cafes and bars, some featuring live music, are dotted around the bay.

There are two swimming pools, an infinity edge by the Hurricane Hole bar and a lagoon pool with island bar in the centre of the hotel rooms as well as a dedicated kid's pool.  Labas beach is a couple of hundred yards across the bay from the hotel with a continual complimentary ferry service from 8am dedicated to hotel guests.

The ferry around the bay, snorkelling equipment Yoga, Tai Chi and meditation programmes are complimentary for hotel guests.

Activities include:  diving & snorkelling; deep sea sports fishing; sailing; ocean kayaks & windsurfers; surfing and kite surfing; Yoga, Tai Chi and regular exercise classes;  meditation and stress management groups; rainforest hiking and walking;  climbing;  bird watching.
